Wow, I just had a moment of enlightenment. Technology has become a natural part of life and after watching this video I realized: without the World Wide Web, we would have had to wait to watch this amazing performance on TV. Much more significantly, the two performers would not have had the opportunity to unite as they did without technology. Amazing!
I thought this was an amazing use of technology as well. Since my grade 6 students were studying space it was a perfect moment to help them connect a real event to what they were learning in school. Chris Hadfield has been commended for stirring up a large interest in space exploration, like no one before, thanks to his daily tweets about what he was seeing and doing in the International Space Station. Truly Incredible! My students and I just loved it.
